Biography: Professor Eric Rogers is a member of research groups including the Vision, Learning and Control group, Centre for Robotics, and CRAFT at University of Southampton. His research focuses heavily on control systems theory, particularly Iterative Learning Control (ILC), repetitive processes, and multidimensional systems theory. He has applied this expertise to healthcare and rehabilitation robotics—such as stroke recovery via functional electrical stimulation and haptic feedback—as well as autonomous systems, satellite formation flying, and fluid flow control. He has 637 publications and has served as Editor-in-Chief for prominent academic journals including the International Journal of Control, and Multidimensional Systems and Signal Processing.
