Biography: Professor Wen-Hua CHEN is Head of Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering, and Director of the Research Centre for Low Altitude Economy at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Director of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University - University of Macau Joint research centre for Robotics and Embodied Intelligence. An internationally renowned scholar in control systems and autonomous vehicles and Chair Professor in Robotics and Autonomous Systems, he has made pioneering contributions to nonlinear disturbance observer-based control, model predictive control, and unmanned aerial vehicles for more than two decades, and founded the Loughborough Centre for Autonomous Systems and Control. Prof. Chen has published over 350 papers with more than 29,000 citations, earning recognition among Stanford University's "World's Top 2% Scientists" for his influential work in industrial engineering and automation.
