30 Days Visa-Free Travel In China

38 countries do enable visa-free travel to China for citizens holding ordinary passports. Citizens from these countries are generally allowed to travel to China without a visa for up to 30 days for the purposes of tourism, travel, business, and visiting family or friends. They will still need to apply for a corresponding visa to China if they intend to work, study, or settle in China, or intend to stay for longer than 30 days.

240 Hours Visa-Free Transit In China

Instead, 54 countries are eligible for 240-hour visa-free transit policy in China. The requirements for satisfying such policy are listed as follows:

Travel Document Requirement: The applicant must hold a valid international travel document (with a validity of at least three months) and meet the requirements for entering a third country (region).


Interline Passenger Tickets: The applicant must hold interline passenger tickets or other documents with a specified date and seat to a third country (region) within 240 hours, complete the Arrival Card for Temporary Entry Foreigners, and cooperate with checks and inquiries by exit-entry border inspection authorities.

       (4) Photocopy of previous Chinese passports or previous Chinese visas 

       (5) F-Visa supporting document 

       (6) Other supplementary materials


2. Fill in the visa application form 


3. Make an appointment online to submit the application 


4. Arrive at the Chinese Visa Application Service Center and submit the application
